Hi, I’m Megan—the heart behind Curious Canvas Design Studio and a lifelong artist who believes creativity is meant to be explored without limits.
Art has always been a core part of my life, and as a mom of three, I’ve built my world around nurturing imagination—both in my own children and in every student who joins my studio. That same deep love and patience I have as a parent is what I bring into my classroom. My goal is not only to teach art, but to create a space where kids feel safe to dream big, express freely, and discover what they’re truly capable of.
I hold a double major in Graphic Design and Photography, and while I have a strong technical foundation, I’ve never believed in sticking to just one medium. I love mixing materials, trying new techniques, and seeing what magic happens when we let go of creative boundaries. I want students to feel that same freedom—to explore boldly, make mistakes, and turn their wildest ideas into something real.
Born and raised in the small town of Kearny, Arizona, I’ve also spent much of my adult life surrounded by the color and culture of Hawaii and Florida. But no matter where I’ve lived, Arizona will always be home. That blend of rootedness and adventure inspires the way I teach—encouraging kids to stay grounded in who they are while reaching for the stars.
In my classes, students don’t just create—they journal, plan, collaborate, and reflect. We talk about our ideas, sketch out blueprints, and even take part in cleaning up our creative messes—because I believe in teaching the full process of what it means to be an artist and a thoughtful contributor to a shared space.
I hold both a Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPR/First Aid certification, because your child’s safety matters just as much as their inspiration.
At Curious Canvas, I want every child to know that their dreams—no matter how big or bold—are always worth chasing. And I’m here to cheer them on, every creative step of the way.
